Having just finished a half-hour phone call as John prepared to board his next flight, Chloe headed home and settled onto the couch. Moments later, her phone buzzed with a new message from John, who should have been mid-air by now.

“Could you please send me a picture of yourself? I miss you so much, and it’s going to be really hard not seeing you for the next few weeks. Please.” John typed out the message and flicked his phone to airplane mode. He carefully fastened his seatbelt as the plane hummed to life, taxiing and readying for take-off.
