After the shocking scene, everything turned into a blur for John. He found a chair and sat down, his head in his hands. Tears were the only thing he could produce at the moment. How could she have betrayed him like that?! He thought she was his one true love, but clearly, he was wrong.

Not far away, Chloe had been observing the whole incident unfold. She decided to approach John. “That looked intense,” she commented, “Is everything alright?”. John tried to assure her with a few comforting words, but he failed to hide his emotions.

John suddenly burst into tears. Seeing his state, Chloe suggested they should get a drink. They spent the next few hours discussing Heather, John’s recent promotion, and the bizarre events of the day. Before they knew it, the show had ended. Chloe, however, was still concerned about John. So, John promised to call her later that evening to let her know he had made it home safely.
