Look closely

George took a deep breath and looked at the crocodile. He tried to clear his mind and look for clues as to what the animal was thinking. George looked around, trying to think of what the crocodile was trying to show him.

He wasn’t sure what prompted him, but he slowly reached out to see how the crocodile would react. The animal seemed almost… happy? It was strange. George couldn’t believe his own thoughts. This was the strangest thing he’d ever done.
