He gave up hope

George squeezed his eyes shut as best he could. He knew he couldn’t swim faster than a crocodile, and there was no way he could fight it if he did fall into the water. George resigned himself to his fate – he knew this was it.

He closed his eyes and tried to look as harmless as possible. George hoped to get out of this alive, but he slowly gave up hope. He prayed to every God he knew to save him. But then nothing happened.
