Confident

George was confident in his skills as an outdoorsman. He trusted that he was safe, even if an animal threatened him. George didn’t know much about crocodiles, but he was confident he could handle one if he had to fight it.

He knew enough to assume there wouldn’t be a problem. When it was time to leave, he slowly started packing his things, confident that nothing would go wrong.
