Deep down, they knew that if Whiskers couldn’t get used to the baby, they might have to take him to a shelter. This thought upset them every time it came up. But what was wrong with Whiskers? Why was he acting so weird? Were they missing something?
When Julian arrived at the vet, he nervously watched as the vet conducted numerous medical tests on Whiskers. Deep down, he hoped there was indeed something wrong with Whiskers. That would at least explain his strange behavior.
But what if nothing was wrong with him? If Whiskers continued to act strangely, they would likely have to choose between their cat and their unborn baby. If Whiskers couldn’t adjust to the baby, they might have to take him to a shelter.
